School Profile

Sal Castro Middle School (Castro MS, for short) is located on the Belmont High School campus, in the Massey Building, and serves about 320 students in grades 6-8. It is located in one of Los Angeles densely populated areas and is a center of hope for children of families that are hard-working and look for a high quality education. Our teachers have remained at this school because they all feel a connection to this community and enjoy building connections with students and their families. With the help of the AVID program being school-wide, students are more aware of how important an education is and leave Castro knowing that it is possible to achieve higher education or be career ready after high school. With hard work, diligence, and perseverance our students enter High School having set goals for their education and their future.
