Robotics
Students are introduced to different branches of engineering: mechanical, electrical and software. They construct different projects, all of which come alive with all the coding students write. Students design programs for each project and manipulate coding. Students learn how to work together in solving problems that may arise. Robotics students are mentored, not only by their teacher, but also by an engineer that currently works in the field. Castro robotics students have engineered racers with obstacle sensors, small robots that move its arms and head, robotic arms, and more. Students use several serval motors and cardboard to complete challenges.
They are our future engineers!

Robotics is a fairly new course at Castro MS, but our students are already learning how to code.

Robotics' mission is to teach students to code. With the knowledge gained, students will be able to build small robots and miniature racers.
